Dear parents, February 1, 2019

We had a great first month of 2019 and are ready to start another fun-filled month of February. Firstly, I want to thank all of you for your continued support and for having your children here each day ready to learn and grow academically.

February is a very special month in our country’s history-Black History Month. This month we have many fun and exciting activities lined up for the students. Throughout the month teachers will be involving their students with different activities that celebrate Black History Month. February 1st through February 8th is February FTE (Full time Enrollment) Week and it is imperative that all students are in school this week. This week students’ attendance is marked for funds for the school and each student counts. We have out of uniform fun days scheduled for that week, please refer to the monthly calendar for information. February 4th, we begin our after-school FSA tutoring program, please inquire in Main Office if interested. We will continue with our weekly sales of pizza, ice-cream, and popcorn as well as Valentine’s Day Grams. This month we will also be having Smoothie King on our campus February 7th as part of our fundraising efforts. Make sure you get your smoothies.

On Valentine’s Day we will have a school dance for all grades and students may come in their Valentine’s Day attire. There is no school on Monday February 18th in observance of President’s Day. Our second quarter Honor Roll Assembly will be on Tuesday February 19th. On Thursday the 21st we will host parents for our Literacy Night. During this time ELA teachers will share valuable skills and strategies that parents may use at home with their child. We will be having our 2nd EESAC meeting and Cafecito with Mr. G on Friday February 22rd. We will celebrate students of the month with a breakfast on the 26th.

Lastly, do not forget to get your Gala tickets while they are at Pre-Sale prices. Please inquire in Main Office if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing all of you around campus. Thank you for your continued support.

Professionally,

Guillermo M. Gonzalez
