November 1, 2018Dear parents,
I want to thank all of you that extended yourselves and provided so much support during the month of October. We had an amazing month with fundraising, student participation, and most importantly student fun! Our Trunk or Treat annual event was incredibly successful, thanks to all of you. November is upon us and we have many exciting activities planned.
This month we will be supporting the Leukemia Lymphoma Society by donating pennies starting on November 5th. This month we will be fundraising with our popcorn and pizza sales but also this month we will be selling hot dogs and having a bake sale twice in the month. We will be offering Hearing and Vision screening for all students at no cost from November 7th to the 9th, don’t miss out on this great service. Please plan to attend or 1st 9-week Honor Roll assembly on the 15th. We have 2 field trips planned this month, one to the Miami Book Fair and the other to the Miami Seaquarium, please stop by the office if you are interested in volunteering as chaperones.
In addition to the Teacher’s Planning Day on the 6th, there will be no classes on the 12th in observance of Veteran’s Day and the 21st-23rd for Thanksgiving. We end the month of November by celebrating our students of the month. These students went above and beyond in their academics as well as their behavior. Elf and Friends sale begins on the 26th and our monthly “Cafecito with Mr. G” and Western Dance on the 30th. I look forward to seeing all of you around campus and/or during our monthly scheduled activities.
